Events and activities

We love meeting new people here at Aquamira and recently had a successful open afternoon with over 40 guests in attendance, with lots of chat, cake and tea.

We were able to show everyone around our newly refurbished multi-Sensory room, hydrotherapy upgrade, Facebook portal and new technology. Thanks to Severndale School, Greenacres Farm, Taking Part, Belle Vue Arts Festival Team, Shropshire Master Composters and Shropshire Council for being part of the event.

There are further developments in the planning and we'll keep you updated as these unfold.

For 2022 we're getting ready to join in with the Belle Vue Arts Festival  - there will be another Aquamira scarecrow and various pieces of art in progress.

We're also holding a couple of percussion workshops and hope to take this forward as a regular session.

Links have been made with Shrewsbury College recently regarding artwork within the building to add colour and interest around the building.

And as spring and summer shine their light upon us, our plans for an outdoor event will be in the mix along with maintaining our beautiful garden areas and growing vegetables for our Prep and Cook group. Shropshire Master Composters have been brilliant in offering advice and we hope to be working with them again this year.

Throughout the year we've built great links with Severndale School students who have been accessing our facilities and joining in with activities as part of the transition from school to adult services. This has been a great success and will continue throughout the year.
