Flooding expected along rivers Vyrnwy, Severn and Worfe - 20 February 2022

20 February 2022 Last updated at 03:51

Rainfall from storms Dudley, Eunice and Franklin have caused river levels on Vyrnwy, Severn and Worfe to rise, triggering the Environment Agency to raise flood alerts for Maesbrook, Melverley, Llanymynech, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth.

Sandbags are being made available to residents and businesses who are at risk of flooding, and the Environment Agency are planning to deploy flood defences in some areas. Please follow our Twitter and Facebook social media accounts for full details of flooding, road closures and where to pick up sandbags.
