Our responsibilities are to promote the cause of biodiversity, help the council to protect and enhance important habitats and species when carrying out its work, and to provide advice on development plans.

We also have a biodiversity officer whose job is to coordinate actions that help the Shropshire Biodiversity Partnership achieve targets set in the Shropshire Biodiversity Action Plan (SBAP).
