The proposed parking restrictions in the locations named within this order will help avoid danger by:

·         Providing safer parking and improved visibility

·         Improving the flow of traffic

·         Giving better access for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists wishing to use the roads

·         Enhancing the amenities of the area through which the roads run

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (VARIOUS ROADS, SHAWBURY) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to make an order to place “No Waiting and No Loading, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 9.15am and 2.45pm to 3.30pm” parking restrictions on the following lengths of roads in Shawbury:

Church Close

(both sides)

From its junction with Poynton Road for a distance of 11 metres in a westbound direction 

Poynton Road

(west side)

From a point 26 metres north of the centre of the junction for Church Close for a distance of 86 metres in a southerly direction

 

From a point 78 metres north of the centre of the junction for Hazeldine Crescent for a distance of 72 metres in a southerly direction

Poynton Road

(east side)

From a point 60 metres north of the centre of the southern junction for Glebelands for a distance of 16 metres in a northerly direction

From a point 102 metres north of the centre of the southern junction for Glebelands for a distance of 29 metres in a northerly direction

From a point 31 metres south of the centre of the northern junction for Glebelands for a distance of 146 metres in a northerly direction

From its junction with Poynton Road for a distance of 19 metres in an easterly direction 

Glebelands (northern junction) (south side)

From its junction with Poynton Road for a distance of 23 metres in an easterly direction
