  • Status: Closed
  • Audiences: Everyone
  • Topics: Business and economy, Community and living
  • Type: Public

The people of Shrewsbury are being given another opportunity to have their say on the future of the town in the second round of public consultation for The Big Town Plan at a pop-up exhibition in St Mary’s Church, Dogpole near the top of Pride Hill and by The Parade Shopping complex, from Thursday 16 August to Wednesday 19 September.

The first three days of the exhibition at St Mary’s will be staffed to give people a chance to speak to representatives from the three partners spearheading the project: Shrewsbury Business Improvement District (BID), Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury Town Council.

Thereafter, the public can continue to view the plan and use the feedback forms provided to give comments. You can also have your say using the online form on the Big Town Plan website.

The final draft of the plan already reflects the comprehensive responses gleaned from the first consultation, and now sets out a clear and detailed vision for the town and how it could look by 2036. It explores themes such as movement and place, reinvigorating the town, creating a place for enterprise and nurturing natural Shrewsbury, and it lists key goals on how the town can evolve to meet future challenges.
