Description

It is proposed to create an enforceable speed limit, combined with traffic engineering measures, around Wootton Crossroads. These measures will reduce vehicle speeds which will improve road safety along these lengths of roads by decreasing the risk of road accidents and casualties.

(SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to introduce a 50mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads at Wootton crossroads:

  • The A458 Bridgnorth to Stourbridge Road from a point 310m northwest of its junction with the unclassified road The Bank junction to The Holt junction (A442), south-eastwards to a point 570m southwest of that junction.
  • The unclassified road The Bank junction to The Holt junction (A442) from its junction with the A458 Bridgnorth to Stourbridge Road, south-westwards for a distance of 20m.
  • The unclassified road The Bank junction to Five Ways junction from its junction with the A458 Bridgnorth to Stourbridge Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 20m.
