General walking tours

Come and join us on one of our guided walks of Shrewsbury starting at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery in the Square.  Led by our team of knowledgeable, experienced town tour guides, explore the history and buildings of Shrewsbury during a 90 minute walk around our historic town.

Tours take place at 2pm every Saturday from February to end of March, with additional days from April to October and special themed tours throughout the year. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the tour.

Parking

Short-stay parking is available in Barker Street (up to two hours). Long-stay car parks are located at Frankwell, Raven Meadows and St Julian’s Friars. All car parks are pay and display - use our parking pages to find your nearest car park. 

Parking on Sundays costs a maximum of £1 in long stay car parks.

Additional information

Tours last 90 mins. If you have any access issues please let the guide know and they'll plan their routes accordingly. Please note that tours start outside the museum but end where the guide chooses, somewhere in the centre of town. This can be negotiated with the participants.
