Epilepsy - Introduction to Epilepsy including the administration of buccal midazolam

Aims to: Raise awareness of the support requirements of adults with epilepsy

Learning outcomes:

  • Explore some of the causes of epilepsy
  • Understand different types of epilepsy and seizures
  • Gain an awareness of the different rescue medications
  • Learn how to administer buccal midazolam
  • Understand care management of seizures
  • Explore possible triggers

Facilitators: Learning Disability Nurse/Epilepsy Nurse Specialist

Audience: Individuals working with or supporting adults with Epilepsy.
*Open to Family Carers.
