Aims to: Introduce basic Makaton as a means of supporting total communication within health and social care settings

Learning objectives:
• Use vocabulary stages 1–4 and additional signs
• Be aware of the underlying principles of Makaton
• Know how to use Makaton in everyday settings

Facilitator: Makaton licensed trainer

Audience: Support staff, carers, family members and parents who need to use Makaton in their work or at home.
