Psychosis and the importance of early intervention

Aims to: Enhance learners' awareness and understanding of psychosis

Learning objectives:

  • Identify and break down some of the myths around psychosis
  • Define psychosis and its symptoms
  • Explore risk factors
  • First episode psychosis and the importance of early intervention
  • Explore other diagnoses where psychosis may be present, including Schizophrenia and Postpartum Psychosis
  • Available support in early intervention

Audience: This course is for those who have regular contact with adults who have a diagnosis/potential diagnosis of psychosis.
