I was born in Kent, and my family moved to mid-Wales when I was a baby. I grew up in the mid-Wales/Shropshire area. Following school, I spent four years living in Preston (Lancashire) where I completed my psychology degree in 2011, before moving back down to the Shropshire area for work opportunities where I have remained since.

As a post-graduate, I spent some time working in general healthcare. I then became a healthcare support worker on a forensic ward for about three years before going on to do my adult mental health nurse training, qualifying in 2019. For two years I worked on acute wards before joining the Joint Training team as a learning development officer in adult mental health. Everyone’s mental health is fragile, and I'm passionate about supporting others to look after their own wellbeing, as well as supporting the wellbeing of others in our community.

I currently spend a lot of my personal time renovating my first house - all very new! I enjoy watching the soaps (my guilty pleasure), arts and crafts and travelling. I also enjoy some selfcare - mindfulness colouring, facemask, bath and headspace.
