Frequently asked questions

What do I do if I don't receive an email confirmation?

If it's less than four weeks before the course date, please contact us to find out how your application is progressing.

What if I'm unable to attend the course on the day?

Please phone us and let us know the reason for not attending. We're required to report on levels and reasons for non-attendance. Please check our non-attendance/short notice cancellation charges.

What if the course I booked is cancelled?

If a course is cancelled for any reason, we'll contact you, and where possible offer an alternative date.

We only cancel courses in unforeseen exceptional circumstances and are unable to offer any form of compensation.

Can I substitute delegates?

You're welcome to substitute delegates. For MAPA training, this must be by agreement with us prior to attendance. Please inform us via email of any name changes.

How do I cancel my course booking?

If you find you are unable to attend a course you have booked, please see our cancellation policy.

Can I obtain a replacement certificate?

Yes, for certificates issued by Joint Training which includes MAPA© there is a small charge for issuing a duplicate certificate. The charge is £2 for a hard copy posted to your address or £1 for a copy sent by email.

For accredited qualifications where the certificate is issued by an awarding body you will need to contact them and their own policy/charges will apply.

What happens if a course is cancelled?

On rare occasions when we need to cancel training at the last minute due to bad weather, you'll be notified by the email address that you've supplied on your application form. We'll also put a newsflash on our website and post on our Joint Training facebook page too.
