The Shropshire Business Board plays a key role in The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership, providing it with the ability to direct and deliver local activity, as well as contributing to LEP policy on locally important issues.

The board operates to deliver its own objectives, which complement and enhance LEP delivery, and facilitate wider business community engagement with the LEP and its boards. An important element of the work includes raising awareness of the LEP and the role it can play in removing the main barriers stifling rural business growth across The Marches, ensuring Shropshire business views are represented.
