Gateway Galleries

The Gateway Education and Arts Centre has two excellent exhibition spaces: Gallery3 and the Coffee Shop 

Gallery3

Gallery3 is a dedicated, well-lit exhibition space by the entrance to The Gateway. A constantly changing programme of arts and craft exhibitions, offering new and exciting events throughout the year, is run by Shrewsbury and District Arts Association's Art Panel for the benefit of local artists and the general public.

This Gallery is a free art space, which is open to submissions from both professional and amateur artists. Those interested in submitting work for exhibition should send their proposal by email to exhibit@gateway-gallery3.co.uk or write to SADAA Art Panel, The Gateway Education & Arts Centre, Chester Street, Shrewsbury SY1 1NB.

Coffee Shop

The Gateway's Coffee Shop has a large wall space, which is available for hire for exhibiting artwork at a cost of £90 per month.

Refreshments are available in the Coffee Shop's relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with its outside terrace and fine views over the River Severn.  It is open to the public from Monday to Friday, 9am to 2.30pm, excluding bank holidays.

Concerts

In addition, The Gateway also has excellent facilities for hosting music recitals, with the benefit of its fine Steinway concert grand piano.
