Adult protection in Shropshire

No secrets.....no abuse!
Abuse happens to adults and can come in many forms, examples include:
- financial
- physical
- emotional
- sexual and discriminatory abuse
- we also think that Neglect is abuse too
We have a duty to try to protect adults in our society who may be vulnerable. This could include adults who have:
- learning difficulties
- physical problems
- mental health problems
- physical disabilities
- or those who are frail
If you have concerns about a vulnerable adult you think may be being abused, please report your concerns to one of our Social Care Teams. When you report your concerns to us, we will use our Multi-Agency Adult Protection Policy to investigate the situation.
This policy is attached to this page. If you want to make an Adult Protection referral, please go straight to Appendix 1. The information in the first part of this section will tell you how to report your concerns.
If you feel that a vulnerable adult is suffering abuse tell us about it by following the link to the Adult Abuse Report online form.
