Shropshire Children's Information Service

Shropshire CIS provides free, impartial and confidential information, advice and assistance on all services for children and young people, (aged 0-19), including childcare. We can be contacted by telephone, text, e-mail or fax, If you prefer a face-to-face appointment, with a dedicated Information Assistant, can be arranged at a location convenient to yourself.

For parents and carers
Up to date information on all services including:-

• **Registered childcare provision across Shropshire:- childminders, day nurseries, pre-school playgroups, out of school clubs.
• Nanny agencies
• Carer and toddler groups
• Holiday play
• Activity clubs for children and young people
• Support groups and organizations (local, regional and national)

**If you use the internet, please note that Shropshire CIS uploads details of Shropshire's registered childcare providers to a national website, 'Childcarelink.gov.uk'. (NB: some childcare providers prefer not to advertise on the internet, so opt out of the 'Childcarelink' website).

Advice about what to consider when choosing childcare.

Information on financial help towards the cost of childcare, including free early education funding. Working Tax Credit, employer childcare vouchers schemes and Care to Learn.
