Shrewsbury Town
The town of Shrewsbury has been parished into 17 Wards with effect from June 2009. Each Ward is represented by a single councillor. The results for the elections held on 4th June 2009 for the Wards forming Shrewsbury's Town Council are listed below.
Please note that the names of the Shrewsbury Town Council Wards are the same as some of Shropshire Council's Divisions. There will be representatives at both Town Council level and Unitary Council level in those areas.
Elections took place on 4th June 2009 to fill the seats available and the average turnout figure for the Wards that had polls was 42.9% overall.
Other Town Council By-Elections 2009
There were 3 other Town Council by-elections which were held on 4th June 2009, namely:
- Bridgnorth (Castle Ward),
- Ludlow (Gallows Bank Ward),
- Ludlow (Whitcliffe Ward).
However, all of those Town Council Elections were subsequently uncontested and the results are shown in the links below.
Since that time, there have been a number of Town Council By-Elections. The results of all such Town Council Elections are listed below in date order, following on from the results for the Shrewsbury Town and other By-Elections held on 4th June 2009.
