Shropshire County Library Service provides an inclusive, responsive and accessible library and information service, meeting the needs and demands of Shropshire's communities, residents and visitors. What's new?

- The National Year of Reading is a celebration of reading in all its forms. Follow the "National Year of Reading" link for more details.
- Craven Arms Library has now re-located to the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre with much longer opening hours. Further details can be found on the Craven Arms Library page.
- To celebrate the opening of the new Oswestry Library and to promote the National Year of Reading everyone in the town is being encouraged to read the same book in 2008. The winning book has now been announced. For further information follow the link to "Oswestry Reads 2008"
- Books in Polish. Lokalna biblioteka można bezpłatnie skorzystać z komputera i książki w języku Polskim. [Your local library can provide you with free computer access and books in Polish]. Books in other languages are also available or can be provided on request.
