Gobowen Library is located within a new timber building on the site of an earlier library, in St. Martin's Road. For a location map, please follow the link to Shropmap.
Four People's Network computers are linked to the Internet, with free broadband access. Gobowen Library is one of seven community libraries that make up the North Shropshire Library Area and is managed from Oswestry Library.

Friends of Gobowen Library
The library has a Friends Group which meets to plan events, to help raise funds to support special projects and purchase extra equipment. If you would like to "make friends with your library", please talk to staff and ask for a leaflet. They will be pleased to put you in touch with current Friends.
Children's activities
Customer First Point Gobowen
The new Customer First Point lets you access services from a range of organisations at the touch of a button. Gain support and confidential advice with advisors from:
- Shropshire County Council. Your council offers access to a wide range of services and information. Talk with your council to report a pothole in the road, to find out about travel and transport or with any general query about council services.
-A4U. A4U promotes Action, Advice and Advocacy for disabled people. The service provides independent information and advice on all aspects of disability for adults and children with disabilities, their families, carers, and health and social care professionals.
-Citizens Advice Bureau. Citizen Advice Shropshire provide free, independent and confidential advice on many subjects including debt, employment and housing.
-Age Concern. Independent and trustworthy support for older people including help for those facing care home charges, disputes with service providers as well as benefits advice, checks and assistance in completion of claims and representation at tribunals.
This project is initially running for a trail period. Feedback from people about the service would be very welcome.
