You can also find a copy of the community profile for this library, which includes an indication of how well this library is performing. Ellesmere Library is one of seven community libraries in the North Shropshire Library Area and is managed from Oswestry Library.
Local
A feature of Ellesmere Library's local history section is its comprehensive collection of photographs of Ellesmere and the surrounding area. A list of these can be downloaded from the attachment on this page.
Events
Ellesmere Library offers activities and events for children and young people and has an active and popular Information Station Homework Club which meets after school on a Thursday 4 to 6pm and Saturday 2 to 4pm during term time. There is also Rhyme time for very young children. You can download leaflets telling you about these activities from this page.
There is a thriving Reading Group who meet monthly in the library on the last Monday of each month. The group enjoys a relaxed and friendly discussion about the book of the month selected from the reading group catalogue. At present membership is full, but please check with the library if you are interested in joining a group.
