What does the Museum Service do?
Our museums have many roles. Our key purpose is to collect and preserve objects relating to the history and natural heritage of Shropshire.
We use these objects to tell the story of Shropshire to both local people and visitors to the County. Our museums and services give a sense of place, preserve our heritage, create opportunities of learning, provide entertainment and contribute to the local economy through tourism.
