About Park & Ride
Park & Ride in Shrewsbury operates from three sites. All of these sites have closed-circuit television in the car parks for your vehicle's security.
Park & Ride sites can be found at:
- Oxon Business Park
- Meole Brace Retail Park
- Harlescott, near Tesco
Cycle parking is available at the Meole Brace and Oxon Park & Ride sites.
All buses have special low floor access at the front, and are ideal for those with pushchairs and people who are less mobile. Buses also have a ramp to enable access for wheelchair users.
Service details
From Monday to Saturday, express buses from all sites to the town centre run every 10 minutes from the beginning of the day until 11am, and then from 3pm until 6.30pm. Buses run every 15 minutes between 11am and 3pm.
Bank holiday services operate from all three sites every 15 minutes. The first bus leaves the car park at 10.30am, and the last bus leaves the town centre at 5.10pm.
Times from car parks
The first bus is at 7.30am from Monday to Friday, and 8am on Saturday, with the last bus departing the car parks at 6.10pm.
Times from town centre
The first bus is at 7.40am from Monday to Friday, and 8.10am on Saturday, with the last bus departing the town centre at 6.30pm.
The car parks close after the arrival of the last bus from the town centre at approximately 6.40pm.
Route descriptions
The service stops in the town centre, railway station, Castle Street, Dogpole, High Street, Shoplatch, Barker Street and Chester Street. Frankwell roundabout is served by the Oxon service only, and a stop on Old Potts Way is served by the Meole Brace service only.

Student discount
Students of Shrewsbury Sixth Form College and Shrewsbury High School are eligible for a 50% discount from Monday to Friday during term time. The return fare is 80p for students aged 16 or over on production of a valid student identification card.
Ticket offers
- Season tickets - £6.40* per week or £24.00* per month. Pay on the bus to give you unlimited travel between the car park and the town centre
- Smart Rider tickets - £2.10*. One day's unlimited travel on all Park & Ride services
- Ten Tripper tickets - £14.40*. Ten return trips between the car park and the town centre. Valid for three months
Please note that all season and multiple-trip tickets are only valid when parking a vehicle at the designated Park and Ride sites.
Concessionary bus passes are not accepted on this service at any time.
