There are a number of schemes available to Shropshire's schools to help them minimise waste and recycle more. If you need help developing a recycling scheme for your school contact us.
Waste Education Support Programme (WESP)
The WESP programme is an ideal way to pursue the National Sustainable Schools Framework. It offers on-going support and practical curriculum-based activities to schools to help them reduce, reuse and recycle their waste. Some schools have achieved reductions in waste of 75% with our help.
We can provide specialist help, free of charge, to work with each school to deliver a programme tailored to its needs. We can also provide practical waste management assistance such as free home composting bins, free paper recycling collections and help with procuring recycling contracts for your school. For more information see the attached leaflet, which gives full details about WESP or contact us.
