Following recent residential developments in the Rocks Green area there is a requirement to improve road safety along the A4117. To achieve this, the existing 40mph speed limit will be extended, and a new length of 50mph will be introduced.

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF SOUTH SHROPSHIRE) (SPEED LIMITS) (PART 2) ORDER 2007 (AMENDMENT) ORDER

Shropshire Council proposes to make the following changes to the speed limits on the lengths of roads in Ludlow listed below:

40mph speed limit

That length of the A4117 Rocks Green from a point located approximately 30 metres in a northeasterly direction from its junction with Knights Way to a point 390 metres in a northeasterly direction.

50mph speed limit

That length of the A4117 Rocks Green from a point located approximately 390 metres in a northeasterly direction from its junction with Knights Way to its junction with B4364 and A4117 Ludlow Road.

That length of the A4117 Ludlow Road from its junction with A4117 Rocks Green and B4364 to a point located approximately 330 metres in an easterly direction.

Any existing speed limits on the above locations will be revoked.
