Storm Franklin causing severe disruption across Shropshire – 23 February 2022

23 February 2022 Last updated at 10:12

Storm Franklin is continuing to cause severe disruption across the county, leaving many roads impassable and homes and businesses flooded.

At 8.30am on Wednesday there were 11 Flood Warnings and six Flood Alerts which have been issued by the Environment Agency, instructing those living near the county’s watercourses to take action or be prepared for flooding.

Our highways teams are working around the clock to close roads and car parks and make sure people who need them have sandbags to protect their homes and businesses.

Please follow our Twitter and Facebook social media accounts for full details of flooding, road closures and where to pick up sandbags.

Further information is also available on Shropshire Newsroom.
