When someone makes an immigration application to come to the UK, one of the documents they must provide is a letter confirming that:
- The property they intend to live in has been inspected
- The property is acceptable for occupation under the Housing Act 2004
- The property won't become overcrowded if they live there
Immigration inspections are not provided free of charge by us. There's a fee for the service of £130 + VAT, and the service will be completed within ten working days.
To request an inspection please complete our application form and return it to us with the relevant fee included. For more information about the immigration inspection service please contact our Community Protection team.
