Changes to our service during the coronavirus outbreak

23 March 2020 Last updated at 04:14

We're closely following government and Public Health England guidance about Covid-19. In response to this, we ask that you use our online services where you can: email trees@shropshire.gov.uk or call 0345 678 9000. We ask during this period that you do not send any correspondence via post or hand delivery to any offices, as we won't be able to process them.

In the interests of the health of the public and our staff, please be advised that as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, Council tree officers will only be undertaking site visits in response to enquiries and reports about tree safety or other similarly pressing concerns. Enquiries will be assessed and lower priority enquiries will be retained on record and dealt with as soon as we can, once the work situation has returned to normal. It would greatly assist us to assess the risk and priority of enquiries if photographs were supplied of the tree(s) concerned, showing in as much detail as possible the nature of the defect or other reported issue. Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
