Online applications - roads and highways

Please be aware that from 1 July onwards we will no longer be accepting paper application forms and cheque payments. Following receipt of your application you'll be contacted to take payment over the phone by debit/credit card. This doesn't affect existing applications made prior to 1 July. From this date our new online forms will be available on these pages, and the old paper application forms will be discontinued. The new electronic application forms are much more user friendly, making the process of applying for a license much easier for our customers.

Please also be aware that in order to facilitate our effective management of the highway network there will also be an increased inspections and compliance regime. Further information relating to this will be available on the new applications, guidance notes and approvals from 1 July.
