Order a copy certificate
A limited service for births, deaths and marriage certificate applications is currently available for orders using our basic level (Bronze) service. Applications for copy certificates can be dealt with over the telephone ONLY by calling 0345 678 9016. The online forms won't be reintroduced until further notice.
Certificate production for historical certificates (older than 1 month) will be suspended between 30/07/2021 and 15/08/2021. Orders received during this period will not be fulfilled until the end of the period. This is due to matters outside of our control and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. For those customers with urgent requirements please contact the General Register Office. Orders for marriage certificates, where the ceremony has taken place in the last month are unaffected.

For couples marrying in a church on or after 4 May 2021, please note that you should telephone 0345 678 9016 to apply and pay for a marriage certificate, you will no longer be issued one by the church. Certificates are £11.00 each.
Birth, marriages and deaths outside Shropshire
For births, marriages and deaths outside the county, you'll need to contact the relevant register office. To do this, visit the General Register Office website for England and Wales, and then type the town or postcode into the search facility on the site.
Certificates are available for purchase to commemorate any special occasion, such as becoming a grandparent, reaching a particular age, marking a special anniversary, or any other occasion or achievement. The certificates, which are bespoke and personalised to the recipient, are signed by the superintendent registrar or her deputy, in full colour on high quality paper and may be laminated if required (£1 extra per certificate).
