Essential resurfacing work is to begin on Tuesday 31 October 2017 on the Prees Heath roundabout. The work will take approximately nine days, including the weekend, to complete and will be undertaken under various road closures with signed diversion routes in place during these times.

We'll try to maintain vehicular access for residents and businesses; however we must bear in mind the safety of the workforce, therefore vehicular access may be limited at times. Please speak to site personnel for details. All other traffic will have to use the diversion.

We're using a special product for this scheme that can take up to 24 hours to cure before it can be trafficked, so there will be times when you see no workforce on site.

This site has been identified via a combination of asset management data and local engineering judgement, and has been deemed in need of essential maintenance. As such we ask for your patience and support while the work is carried out, and offer our apologies for any inconvenience that may be caused.

Updates will be added to this page throughout the work to keep you informed of progress.

Phase 1 of the resurfacing works on the roundabout have now been completed with phase 2 to begin later tonight. Currently, the works are approximately six hours ahead of the planned completion. Please be aware of changes to the traffic management/diversion.

6 November 2017

Resurfacing works are near 100% completion, and road marking tasks are being completed also. However, owing to the likelihood of inclement weather tomorrow (Tuesday, 7 November) an element of road marking tasks will need to be completed early on Wednesday, 8 November, 2017.
