Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings - compulsory purchase order

On 3 March 2023 the secretary of state for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities confirmed the “Shropshire Council (Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings – Redevelopment) (No. 2) Compulsory Purchase Order 2022” ('the order').

The order has been made pursuant to section 226(1)(a) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to assemble the land required to deliver a mixed-use development comprising residential accommodation, together with commercial, business and service uses being a key element of the wider regeneration of Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings.

Here you will find a copy of the confirmed order, together with a copy of the order map and the personal notice of confirmation. A hard copy of these documents is also available for inspection at Shrewsbury Library at Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY1 2AS during its normal opening hours.

Notice confirming that the order has been confirmed is being served on affected landowners and interested parties, and a notice will also appear in the Shropshire Star on 25 May 2023.
