Shropshire Council

Daycare services

The following is a small selection of what we offer. We aim to give our service users as much choice as possible, and can be flexible with what we can offer.

Library group

Visiting the local library, borrowing books and enjoying a reading circle. Also includes life skills - handling money.

Walking group

Enjoying local walks around Market Drayton and surrounding area, keeping fit and healthy.

Independent living skills

Staff are able to focus on individual skills working towards independence, such as finance, cooking and personal hygiene.

Multi-sensory area

Individuals can enjoy relaxed and tranquil multi-sensory sessions.

Arts and crafts

Seasonal crafts are made and enjoyed. Artwork is displayed on our display boards or can be taken home.

Shop and cook

Service users have the choice to decide on the meal they'd like to make, and with support are then able to prepare the meals from scratch, developing skills towards independence.

Swimming

Weekly swimming sessions at the local swimming baths to help keep fit and healthy.

Gardening

There's a small garden to enjoy. Gardening groups take place in the summer months, where service users are encouraged to maintain the garden and also grow vegetables for their own enjoyment.

Gym

Supporting a group on a weekly basis to access the local gym. This encourages individuals to be active and live healthy lifestyles.
