The event is being hosted to celebrate national Carers Right’s Day 2023.

Programme

10am - Tea/coffee on arrival.

10:30am - Welcome and housekeeping. Introduction to the event by Shropshire High Sheriff.

10:50am - 'Social care funding and how to ensure your personal monies are best utilised' talk by Matt Hignett (FPFS) (Beaumont Wealth). Followed by questions and answers (individual cases cannot be discussed at the event).

11:30am - Refreshment break.

11:45am - 'Your right to a carers assessment including what to expect, what the potential benefits are and how it is carried out' talk by Margarete Davies (Shropshire Council). Followed by questions and answers (individual cases cannot be discussed at the event).

12:30pm - Close and final tea/coffee. Carer Support Team available until 1:30pm.
